About Us

Back in the .dotcom boom, I worked for a small start-up in the West End. I genuinely did as little as possible, waiting for my share options to kick in, and I had the perfect partner in crime for doing so.

We spent countless hours and days, sloping off from the office, especially in summer, for breakfast. For 'elevenses'. For lunch. For a cheeky 3 o'clock, sugar rush. And we mainly talked about cars. Around central London on a good day, is one of the best places anywhere in the world to see some fantastic hardware. And we did.

Since then he's moved onto the Continent, where all the cars are dull matt colours, unclean and optionless.

"Hey buddy, how's things?"
'Yeah good. What's going on?'
"Oh! I saw the new Nissan GT-R today down Brook Street...If I see it again I'll send you a picture..."

My mobile phone contract was up for renewal and I was offered a new deal with a new handset. A Nokia N95. I'd never really used the camera on previous phones, but this tool seemed more than useful whenever I came across something worth capturing.

And so set off a pattern of events, where I'd go about my daily business - 'see a man about a dog' - and if I came across a nice or special car, capture it for posterity. And here they are.......with some ruminations on life, politics, war and women. And cars.

The Pictures

All pictures on this website have been taken with a Nokia N95 - the original version, RM-159 - purchased on April 4th, 2007. It has a Carl-Zeiss lens (Tessar 2.8/5.6*) that captures 5 megapixel images at 2592 x 1944. It operates the same Symbian OS that it shipped with, and has never been upgraded.

No pictures have been altered, cropped or tweaked in any way. They have not been run through any third-party application.

*Significantly the latter N95 8GB version retains this very same lens, but loses the sliding cover. But the replacement N96, strangely, has an inferior lens - the 2.8/5.2.
