The most beautiful car ever? I stopped and stared at this for fifteen minutes. In the rising sun, it twinkled beautifully.

I once read this article on Andre Agassi, the tennis player. He started off his career being the bad boy. The foul mouthed, brash Las Vegan, ready to shake up the tennis world. His famous advert for Kodak, was 'Image Is Everything'.

So he won Wimbledon early on, then.....he tailed off. He went 'Hollywood'. He fiddled around with Barbara Streisand, married Brooke Shields. His tennis went down the pan. He fell like a comet from the #1 spot, down past #100. It was appalling. He then twigged that his career was important and time was ebbing away. He got smart. He trained and played each day like it was his last. And at the end of his career all he had to say, was, that, the interesting stuff is in the journey. Too many people think of how they will feel when they have a million quid in the bank and how happy they will be. Or when they will become CEO. Or being 55, taking retirement and living in a nice big house, waving the kids off to University. They take in the end goal and just work to that point. And then they get there. And the feeling may sometimes be not quite what they hoped. Like 87% happy. Something's missing.......

They forget that the journey, getting there, is the fun part. Wanting a million quid in the bank, wanting a big house. Wanting...that's the fun part. Wanting that really special car. I sometimes think of that when I see such fantastic machinery. One day if I ever own something like a Miura SV, will I ever sit there, in it, in traffic, and feel as happy as the moment just before I acquired it? I think it's possible to enjoy cars just as much by seeing them, and desiring them as much as owning them. I hope so anyway.

Either way, I want one.
