Hooper Continental
There were 421 Bentley Continentals made, a subset of the Rolls-Royce Corniche II models, and to find one that has been 'Hooper-ed' makes it a rare beast indeed.
Hooper are to Rolls-Royce and Bentley what Lorinser are to Mercedes-Benz. I can't say I know a lot about the specialist coachbuilders of the marques but if you are so keen there is an excellent website over here - http://www.bentleyspotting.com/ - that serves to offer you all the visual delights.
The standard Corniche, of which 1226 were made, retained many of the features of the first generation model: a 90 degree 6.75 litre all-aluminium V8 with Bosch K Jetronic fuel injection. The 3-speed auto 'box manipulating oodles of torque, nestled on that hydraulically self-levelling featherbed, for the time, established the car as the ultimate boulevardier.
