136bhp good for 108mph. Lowered, lightened, stiffened. Minilite wheels, suspension amendments and an LSD were all part of the package.
These cars are not supercars. They were made, or at least the standard MKII was, in very large nuumbers. But this is the extreme, high-end version of the standard model, and, on top of that.......when was the last time you saw a MKII? Especially in this condition?
The 'Savage' was basically a 3.0 litre V6 engine transplanted into a body with standard 1600E trim. Not many were produced, and in fact they weren't - to the best of my knowledge - an official, Ford sanctioned, product. I'm mindful of what loosely corroborated sites like Wikipedia have to say, but other sources infer that this is a very rare - for UK shores at least - car.
