Lotus Turbo Esprit
Using the word in a metaphorical sense, the parallax view of a car like this, observing it through different eyes and in a different era, I can't avoid the conclusion that beauty can evolve from angles and straight lines.
It doesn't always have to be swooping curves and bold, dramatic statements. Short, sharp cuts, can also do. The 'oblique-ness' of Guigiaro's stunning and immediate design still makes so much sense, even today. Many people buy cars because they need them for a reason. Some, though, are lucky enough to buy them, because of how they make you feel. Cars like this only work on an emotional level, something all too often questioned in the world we live in today.
I'm not sure on what the exact model code is: the position of the indicators aft of the front wheel arch tells me that this is not an HC. But would like to know more.....

I drive past this car quite often and drool. Why is it parked on the street rotting away? criminal
You tell me! It's genuinely an enormous shame....
There's often a story there - owner might be dead, kidnapped, lost at sea, in jail, or on a séance..... ;)
Round London I can pinpont to the metre stacks of wonderful cars that slowly are sinking into the tarmac. Sad.
Look at my entry on the Chevelle SS
