TVR Sagaris
Once upon a time, for around £40k, you could get a car that could top 185mph, do 0-60 in a little over 4 seconds, and after you've parked it outside the restaurant in the place vacated by the BMW Mini Cooper, you could brag that your car would destroy that a SLR around the track. And whilst I'm not certain that TVR ever campaigned this car in the GT Cup, it would not have been embarrassed if it was.
When Smolensky came from the East bearing gifts, like the Magi, TVR must have thought Christmas had come. But the Myrrh was in short supply. A real shame. As a car company, they were starting to show real maturity and rigour in their engineering and design, when producing jewels such as this.
Produced for two years only the Sagaris built on the earlier T350c and in maintaining with TVR's traditions, modern features like traction control and ABS were eschewed after being considered more dangerous with, than without.
