Roush 600RE

So, here we are. Another - from what I gather - 1 of 10. Although Alpina exported 10 (or 11, but Ronan Keating doesn't count) of the Z8s to the UK, Roush built just 10 of these. For the world.

I know there are unique cars. One-offs. Like the Range Stormer etc. But if you think about it, anyone can create a unique car. It's almost slightly more 'prestigious' to have something that only very few people can have in some ways. Like watches. I'm sure Richard Mille can create a one-off technological masterpiece, but for most people there will be more of a legend and status attached to a Comex branded Rolex Sea-Dweller. Limited editions as opposed to something utterly bespoke.

Same applies to the Roush. Please be reminded that this was on the M23, and I'm mainly trying to drive in a straight line so please do forgive the pictures. I clearly saw the 600RE graphics and it would be interesting to see how the DVLA list a car like this. I'd be sanguine if someone just bought some stickers for an already great car, however, hopefully not. But would it be listed as manufactured by Roush or by Ford?

It looks remarkably like the car shown in an edition of Evo magazine, where it was described as "....an instant classic."

As I finished taking my pictures, and as the congestion eased up, we played a little catch-up. It's an awesome sounding machine. Not quite as theatrical as a Spyker, maybe, but wonderful all the same.
