Lagonda's original founder, William Gunn, was an American. This may be of surprise to some I'd imagine, but if you've seen the latest concept car to come from Aston Martin, resurrecting this dormant brand, then you might believe they are going back to their roots. The thing is an ugly ill-proportioned SUV. An automotive sin. If the car was ever released, newcomers to the marque may be forgiven for not knowing that nearly 90 years previously they made some of the best medium-sized sports cars around.
