'The Montreal'. I grew up in Montreal, and I would never have seen one of these. Reason being? They were not sold in Canada. Under 4000 were made over a seven year run. Small figures, all considering, but this is not the only reason they retain a certain exclusive status.

This is the second series, built for two years, 72-74 only. Even though the design to the naked eye seems relatively blocky, it was extremely aerodynamic for it's era, and was one of the cars that solidified Alfa's name with pacy, affordable, yet evocative saloons and coupes.

I stopped and stared at this for a good ten minutes. In the rising sun, it twinkled beautifully. I cannot describe why this car appeals. It's not obvious. It's subtle. I feel like Jeffrey Archer at his trial, motioning to the courtroom, "Is she not fragrant?"
